On Friday, Democrat Congressman Salazar argued against concealed carry on college campuses in favor of “whistles” and “safe zones.” Why? Because you, as a woman, might “feel like you’re in trouble when you may actually not be” — better to head to the “call box” and let a man with a gun decide if the danger you perceive is “real or imaginary” (if he shows up in time, that is). Never mind actually being an independent American woman.

Back in November, Twitchy told you how former Bush adviser Karen Hughes wanted to personally cut the tongue out of any Republican man who “says anything about rape other than it is a horrific, violent crime.” We don’t know who on the Democrat side of the aisle is going to offer up a similar threat to get Colorado Democrat Rep. Joe Salazar to stop talking, but you’d better hurry.

So whereas the constitution gives women the right to bare arms, Democrats want to strip that right and “empower” women with…whistles. Yeah, that’ll show ‘em.
